I neglected to mention, I seem to have secured a part-time stint at Womb. The people there really care about their music; it's nice to see. Not everyone cares for my jumpstyle and fusion, but there's always someone on the floor. I try to provide a little bit for everyone. Please come in and visit sometime. Their desserts are really good.

The children are doing well. Linda drew a lovely portrait for me. I'm very sad that I will have to keep it to myself. Mello and Matt begged me for a story. They are very sweet boys, and I do wish my childhood had been as precious as theirs. I did a puzzle with Near, although I am quite certain that he does not require my assistance. Nevertheless, he did not protest my filling in a corner for him. He is very fragile and requires social engagement that he does not receive regularly. He is a fine detective, but I hope that he can also be a happy young man someday. It was a good day.

I haven't been out in a while. There has been an outbreak of cases recently. I wonder if it might have something to do with the changing weather. More likely it is the economic recession. Lavi, we should chat again.

This weekend will add another year. I wonder how the children are faring. I think I'd like to visit.

I've been partial to one club in particular near the Tokyo area (not revealed here for the sake of security, of course). I've been visiting irregularly the past few nights, filling out applications, etcetera. I feel as though I should be meeting someone; however it has not been particularly social, lately. I even called Light and Matsui-san to see if they would like to come, but Matsui-san claims to be more of the rock sort, and Light insists that he shouldn't be out so late. I still think that Matsui would enjoy this place. Most of the visitors are around his age.

I'm a bit concerned about when the other clubbers do decide to become social, however. I don't exactly want people getting too close. Japan is such an odd place in the sense that during the day, people casually go about their own business, but at night in these environments, they feel free to discard their inhibitions and attempt to invade the space of whomever they so choose. This is not everyone, of course, but it is surprisingly common.

Anyway, I figured I deserved a little time off, and I've been napping a little more frequently than I usually do, so of course, I'm wide awake tonight. I visited this club, and it was enjoyable, but they close at 2:00 AM, so here I am at the internet cafe. Their dessert assortment is delightful.

I had a free day today (yesterday, actually). Rarely do I take them, but I know when it's time to step away from work. After all, cases have been slow and small lately. I hadn't been feeling well, so I spent the evening practicing my capoeira technique and dabbling in jumpstyle a bit. Jumpstyle is a refreshing change of pace for me. It's a challenge, because power must be put into the movements, and they must be executed in precise time to the music. Capoeira and breakdance are rather more similar to one another than they are to jumpstyle. After the day's practice, I have determined that I must make my movements 40% sharper in jumpstyle. I believe that I will have a fruit smoothie with protein mix. I feel very sorry for Watari, as he spent two hours driving about, attempting to find unflavored, unsweetened whey protein powder. Why must everyplace stock the variety that is sweetened with artificial sweetener? I will have banana-strawberry. A sprig of mint would be pleasant, as well. Watari makes delicious smoothies.

I think that later, this afternoon, I will go to a maid cafe. The one near the police station has wonderful crepes. I would like to buy some new clothes to wear at the dance club. My white shirts are too warm.

Watari brought chocolate candies and ice cream bars. Misa-chan brought brownies. I also had some watermelon and peaches.
